Human Augmentation for Physical and Perceptual Interfaces ( HAPPI ) Lab at Cornell University
Overview
Services
HAPPI lab’s research focuses on developing advanced robotic, mechatronic, and human-machine systems, particularly systems that are capable of haptic (touch) interaction. This includes the design and fabrication of sensors and actuators and the use of neuroscience and psychology methodology to improve our understanding of human perception, as well as the effective combination of this work to develop and control systems for improved human-machine interaction. The lab is particularly excited about connecting their work to medical applications in areas such as mental health, rehabilitation, prosthetics, and medical or surgical training, to mention a few and is motivated by the goal of improving clinical, at-home, and telehealth care.
